Education has always been at the heart of who I am.

My professional journey began in public education as a teacher with Halifax County Schools, where I discovered my passion for helping others learn, grow, and achieve their goals. Over the years, I had the privilege of working with students from diverse backgrounds and witnessing firsthand the transformative power of education.

My commitment to academic excellence led me to higher education, where I served as a Professor at Virginia University of Lynchburg. During my time in higher education, I was honored to advance into leadership roles, including serving as Interim Dean of Business and Online Instruction. These experiences allowed me to develop innovative educational programs, support faculty and students, and lead initiatives that promoted student success and professional development.

While my career in education was rewarding, I recognized a growing need within the beauty and wellness industry. I saw talented individuals with passion and potential who simply needed the right educational environment, guidance, and support to build successful careers. I also saw the opportunity to elevate esthetics education by combining academic excellence with real-world professional training.

This vision inspired me to establish JenEspa Esthetics Academy.

JenEspa Esthetics Academy was founded on the belief that every student deserves a high-quality education that prepares them not only to pass the state licensing examination, but also to thrive as confident, knowledgeable, and successful skincare professionals. My goal was to create more than a school—I wanted to build a learning community where students are respected, challenged, encouraged, and empowered to achieve their dreams.

As an educator, administrator, and lifelong learner, I understand that every student enters the classroom with unique experiences, goals, and aspirations. My commitment is to provide an environment that promotes professionalism, integrity, innovation, and excellence. Through comprehensive instruction, hands-on training, industry-relevant curriculum, and personalized support, we strive to help every student reach their fullest potential.

 

Today, I remain deeply committed to student achievement and educational excellence. Every policy, program, and learning experience at JenEspa Esthetics Academy is designed with one purpose in mind: empowering students to transform their lives through education.
