A: To obtain an Esthetics License in North Carolina, candidates must complete at least 600 hours of approved training in an esthetics program, pass both a written and practical examination administered by the North Carolina State Board of Cosmetic Arts, and complete the required sanitation and safety education. JenEspa Esthetics Academy is fully accredited and designed to meet and exceed these state requirements by providing a comprehensive 600-hour curriculum that combines hands-on training with theoretical instruction. Students receive practical experience using professional-grade devices during live classes, complete clinical hours under expert supervision, and benefit from sessions with guest artists who bring industry insights. 180 of the 600 hours are designated as online theory coursework, allowing students flexible access to foundational knowledge. This holistic approach ensures that graduates are not only prepared to pass the licensing exams successfully but also ready to excel in their professional esthetics careers.
A: The Esthetics Teacher Trainee Program at JenEspa Esthetics Academy is designed to meet North Carolina state requirements with a total of 650 program hours. Students complete 325 hours of guided and independent theory, which can be taken online, and 325 hours of practical application conducted in person to ensure hands-on training and clinical experience. This balanced curriculum allows trainees to gain comprehensive knowledge through live classes and access to professional devices, while also developing essential skills in a real-world setting under the guidance of experienced instructors. The program’s combination of theory and practice prepares graduates to excel as esthetics educators with a strong foundation in both teaching methodology and esthetic techniques.
